Liverpool FC have been training hard ahead of their Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid tonight.
In an open training session for the media, MerseySportLive watched on as Jurgen Klopp’s men performed an extensive warm-up and some in-depth passing drills.
There was a positive vibe in camp, with Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez visibly sharing a camaraderie which is vital to the pair’s success together.
Roberto Firmino displayed the usual showboating antics which he enjoys to flaunt on the pitch, demonstrating a killer first-touch and superb technical ability.
Klopp generally watched from afar and left the operating of the session to his assistant, Peter Krawietz. Whilst Jurgen observed, Krawietz marshalled the session aggressively, making sure that the intensity of the players remained high throughout.
