Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has called for consistency from his team, following Wednesday night’s win against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
The German said ahead of his team’s league trip to Wolves on Monday said: “What we have to show now is consistency, in a performance way and a defensive way.”
Klopp was also very guarded regarding the injury situation.
Striker Roberto Firmino is still a doubt and he said there was to be medical meeting after today’s media conference, but the rest of the squad were fit.
Diogo Jota will face his former club again, and Klopp emphasised how much of a miss he was to the team during his period of injury.
He said of his Portuguese striker: “He can play all three positions (up front)… he makes us much stronger.”
New signing Ben Davies has yet to appear for the first team, but the Liverpool boss did say that “he will play when he will play”.
Liverpool will be hoping to end the run of terrible league form which has seen the team lose five out of their last six matches.
