Liverpool have drawn Benfica in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals – with a potential semi-final against Bayern Munich.
The road to the Stade De France has become more clear after today’s draws.
Here is the Champions League Quarter Final draw in full.
Benfica vs Liverpool
Portuguese giants, Benfica, will take on six-time winners Liverpool.
The Reds will face Nelson Verissimo’s side with the first leg being played in Lisbon.
Benfica reach the quarter-finals after overcoming Dutch side, Ajax.
After overcoming the likes of Atletico, AC Milan, Porto and Inter already, Liverpool fans will be happy with this draw.
Liverpool will have the home advantage for the second leg as they continue their efforts for a possible quadruple-winning season.
The winners of this will meet the winners of Bayern Munich and Villareal.
Chelsea vs Real Madrid
Last season’s winners and current champions Chelsea will take on 13-time winners Real Madrid.
Having just advanced over Lille, the Blues will now face a tough task against the Galacticos who overcame PSG thanks to magic from Karim Benzema.
The in-form Frenchman scored a hat-trick as he sent on paper favorites PSG home.
Chelsea will have to keep him quiet if they want any chance of progressing.
The two sides met in last year’s competition behind closed doors as Chelsea beat the Galacticos 3-1 over the two legs and ultimately went on to win the competition.
Manchester City vs Atletico Madrid
Last year’s finalists Manchester City will take on Spanish champions, Atletico Madrid.
Atletico progress through beating Manchester United, City’s neighbours.
The Cityzens comfortably overcame Sporting with a 5-0 aggregate score.
They will be hoping to reach the final once more as Pep Guardiola continues his quest for European glory, but it will not be easy.
Although they have not been at their best this year, Atletico will still be a tough side to face.
Diego Simeone has caused Pep Guardiola problems previously, knocking his Bayern Munich side out of the competition back in the 2016 semi-finals.
Villareal vs Bayern Munich
After an eyebrow-raising victory over Juventus, Villareal reach the quarter-finals to face German giants, Bayern Munich.
Unai Emery has shown he is not just a Europa League specialist as he will be looking to replicate the upset over the Old Lady to the Bavarians.
It will be a tough job for the Yellow submarine with the second leg being played at the Allianz Arena.
Key players Alphonso Davies and Leon Goretzka will be back for Bayern in time for their home fixture.
Overall, football fans will feel this is a great draw for Bayern, but they will have to stay focused to ensure they do not meet the same fate as Juventus.
