After a convincing 2-0 win under the Anfield lights against Villarreal, Liverpool look to make their attendance in their third final of the season more certain.
By beating Villarreal in the second leg, Liverpool will set themselves up to face either Real Madrid or Man City in the final.
A victory over Chelsea on penalties in the Carabao Cup has seen Liverpool take home one of the four pieces of silverware available.
And to gain another they must beat Chelsea again in the FA Cup final.
The biggest challenge is chasing league leaders Man City.
With just a point between the teams, Liverpool have closed a 14-point gap but are still waiting for City to have one more slip up.
The question is, will it come?
Adam Smith, creator at The Anfield Wrap, says the quadruple is the biggest expectation in world football, and that applying that pressure from the fans must be immense of the team.
“The quadruple is the impossible dream, it has never been done before.
“The idea of us doing it while Pep Guardiola is the manager of Manchester City with the backing of billions from a nation is huge, to expect it would put these lads in a case of immortality.
“Unfortunately, it is out of our hands in one aspect, and that’s chasing the Premier League title, because we need Manchester City to slip up and they don’t look like doing it.
“That being said, when City have dropped points this season, it’s been when we haven’t expected it.
“They’ve dropped points to teams like Crystal Palace, results where you think what’s happened there?
“There is no team left that I think on paper take points from city, but that doesn’t mean they won’t drop them.
“It is still a dream, but an achievable one.”
