The Female Six Nations comes to a head this weekend with England travelling to France for the grand-slam decider.
Last time out, France won 5-33 in Wales, and England saw of Ireland, a staggering 69-0 at home.
Both sides have been levels above the rest this campaign, but England remain firm favourites to lift the trophy.
The Red Roses are that good, the last time they lost a game Corona was just a beer and a mask was something you wore at Halloween.
England have won the last three Women’s Six Nations, two via a grand-slam.
Merseyside has played its part, with back row Sarah Beckett and centre Holly Aitchison both hailing from the county.
Aitchison is from Southport, which has undergone a rugby renaissance of its own.
Southport RFC now boasts over 20 teams, ranging from U6 up to both senior men and women.
The women’s game has been a huge grower in recent years.
Club Director of Rugby Mike Dale said: “The Six Nations has been invaluable to growing the women’s game, similar to the men’s in 2003.
“Southport RFC is at the heart of growing women and girls’ rugby.
“Let’s hope the Red Roses do France and win the World Cup later in the year.”
