Lee ‘The Butcher’ Chadwick will be competing in his final fight at on the Oktagon 48 in Manchester on Saturday night.

Huyton fighter Chadwick has been a champion six times in five different promotions across the world as he looks to call a fantastic career to a close against ‘Gameover’ Zdenek Polivka, a 24-year-old fighter from the Czech Republic. The Butcher looks to end his career on a high by beating the brakes off young Polivka in this middleweight bout.

Chadwick goes into his final bout with a record of 28-18-1 in his 18-year career.

The 38-year-old has fought at both light heavyweight and middleweight throughout his time in the sport with most of his bouts at the lighter weight where he won multiple world titles. His time in MMA spans some of the world’s biggest promotions including Bellator, PFL, Cage Warriors and more.

‘The Butcher’ is best known for his time as Cage Warriors middleweight champion in 2017. He would then sign for Bellator after his career comeback that led him to this title. He went 2-2 in Bellator against fierce competition where he debuted in the promotion against Fabian Edwards, one of the best middleweights in the UK, brother and training partner of UFC Champion Leon Edwards.

Chadwick is a submission specialist with most of his victories coming by way of his opponent’s tap. He has been focused on wrestling and his ground game which led to a serious run of success from 2012 onwards where this change in style saw him go on a run of 13-3 where he got to lift that Cage Warriors title in his hometown.

Chadwick had one fight in the USA-based promotion PFL where he was victorious before he signed for Oktagon MMA. He has had one fight in the promotion in May 2023 where he was stopped by a left hook in the first round by Robert Bryczek.

Chadwick has had many setbacks in his career, but they have never stopped him from coming back and becoming one of the most dangerous fighters in all the promotions he competed in.

He is a true stalwart of UK MMA with relentless perseverance to achieve success in the sport.

Oktagon 48 show can be streamed live on DAZN on Saturday evening featuring other Scouse fighters Shem Rock and viral comedian Paul Smith has his first fight. Manchester’s AO Arena will be home to what Chadwick hopes to be The Butcher’s final slaughter.
