Bootle Football Club will travel to the Vestacare Stadium on Friday (February 23) with hopes of boosting their promotion play-off potential.
Mick McGraa’s side have picked up 11 points in their past five fixtures as they sit fifth in the Northern West Non-League Division One.
Avro FC find themselves four spots behind Bootle, having received four points in their last five matches, in a disappointing league run.
It has been an encouraging past few weeks for the ‘Bucks’ as they have slowly started to cement themselves in the top six.
They had a commanding 3-1 victory in their most recent fixture, with Michael Burkey scoring a hattrick against Nantwich Town.
In similar fashion, Avro also claimed a 3-1 victory against Curzon Ashton to get to the final of the Manchester Premier Cup, with goals from Geffry Ebhote, Luca Havern and Ethan Kershaw.

Ones to watch:
Bootle FC – Michael Burkey
After transferring to the Bucks from fellow Merseyside club Vauxhall Motors FC back in November, fans had high hopes for the player.
He scored three against Nantwich Town’s Scott Moloney in a 3-1 victory last weekend, proving his worth to manager Mick McGraa.
Avro FC – Liam Ellis
The player that Bootle should be watching out for is Liam Ellis, who has netted over 40 goals in his five seasons at the club.
Despite having injuries over the past few seasons that leave him out for long periods of time, the player has remained consistent on the goal scoring front.
We are back at the Vestacare this weekend as we look to gain revenge for the narrow defeat which we suffered on Merseyside back in October. It is a time of the season when the lads need your support more than ever as we look to sustain our play off challenge – please do join us! pic.twitter.com/jIi3DOo3Dt

Previous Fixture
In the reverse fixture from October, Bootle came away with a 1-0 victory after a goal from Ben Hodkinson settled the score. Despite the victory, Avro left wanting more as a last gasp chance should have been put away, but it was swiftly stopped on the line by a Bootle defender to deny the away side.
Bootle will hope to keep up their league form and continue pushing for promotion, whereas the home team will be hoping that they can bring their cup form from the Manchester Premier Cup into the league and avoid slipping further down the table.
