Warrington Rylands will travel to Stockbridge Park in an FA Trophy third qualifying round tomorrow looking for a first win under new boss Neil Reynolds.
Rylands will be aiming to progress in the FA trophy into the fourth round at the Local Look Stadium, and it would see them go one better than last season when they were knocked out at this stage against Avro.
Rylands won 3-1 against Newton Aycliffe last time out in the FA Trophy, coming back from 1-0 down thanks to scorers Ntumba Massanka, Sam Burn, and Luke Porter.
Stocksbridge’s last game in the FA trophy ended in dramatic fashion with two last-minute goals by Jack Haslam in the 89th-minute and another one when Elliot Owen scored in the 95th minute.
The Yorkshire side then went on to win 4-3 on penalties against Wythenshawe Town.
More recently though Rylands came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 against Mickleover on Tuesday night at the Hive Arena with goals from two newcomers, defender Cole Lonsdale and forward Leslie Adekoya.
Lonsdale started the season at the NPL West Division, and the 24-year-old was signed from Nantwich Town.
The 20-year-old youngster Adekoya most famously played for league two side Accrington Stanley, now the Irishman will look to get his name on the score sheet again.
Stocksbridge have managed to win their last two games and are in fourth place in the NPL East division, with a promotion challenge on the go.
Rylands will fancy themselves to cause an upset in tomorrow’s 3pm kick-off and try to get Reynolds’ first win for the club.
Reynolds is a well known character across the non league football world having managed Bamber Bridge from 2016 to 2018, he then managed FC United of Manchester for six years.
