Tranmere Rovers are looking to help out members of the SWA get to Wembley with virtual tickets.
Tranmere will now head to Wembley for the fourth time in four years after beating Oxford United and will now take on Sunderland in the Final which will be played on Sunday 14 March.
This is after calls for the final to be delayed after Boris Johnson announced that fans could return to stadiums in May.
However, Chairman Mark Palios released his statement on the issue.
A message from the Chairman…

Tranmere’s website said “We are devastated that the SWA will not be able to be there to cheer on the team on and many of you have told us you want to show your support”.
It has now been announced that Tranmere will follow fellow Mersey team Marine when they took on Tottenham Hotspur for their home FA Cup game, by releasing virtual tickets to help Tranmere Rovers in the community.
Upon release Tranmeres site said: “we have decided to take the opportunity to raise some money for charity through the sale of virtual tickets. These won’t allow you to actually be there in person on the big day but are a great way of having a lasting momento of your support”.
“As many of you will know Tranmere Rovers in the Community has been hugely active during the pandemic in supporting the local community including having provided tens of thousands of meals through food parcels, run programmes combating loneliness and social isolation during lockdown, and supported dementia groups and parents who are home-schooling”.
“All monies raise through virtual tickets will go to support their work for the local community”.
Co-Chair Nicola Palios has also asked fellow Newcastle United fans to help support the cause.

The current target for Tranmere in the community is to raise £20,000 and they are about £4,000 short of their target with less than ten days before the match.

Marine Raised over £300,000 for their FA Cup game against Premier League Tottenham Hotspur, though money was raised for both the club and the clubs charity Marine in the community.
