Liverpool’s injury count is now up to five with two midfielders suffering issues from the Manchester United game.
With Fabinho not fully fit after taking a knock when replacing Naby Keita in the second half against Atletico Madrid, Liverpool now have four midfielders with injury problems, including new star signing Thiago.
Fabinho sustained a knock to his knee after supporting Liverpool in a hard fought 3-2 win in the champions league mid-week.
The midfielder has now missed consecutive Premier League games, after being forced to sit out on a 5-0 thrashing away at Watford due to Covid restrictions.
Liverpool were down to the choice of five midfielders in their senior side.
This includes youngster Curtis Jones, and out of practice Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Klopp called upon Keita and Milner to take charge in his midfield against Man United this weekend, alongside captain Jordan Henderson.
After 25 minutes, Milner was substituted for Jones, after slipping attempting to stop a United counter attack.
Klopp has confirmed Milner now has an issue with his hamstring.
Keita was stretchered off in the second half after a horrific challenge from Paul Pogba saw both players take an early exit.
The injury is said to be in his shin, but the severity is not yet known.
Both players will head for scans to gain a time frame for their recovery.
