Liverpool have been handed a huge boost ahead of Sunday’s game at Manchester United with the return of Alisson Becker and Joel Matip to full training.
Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson has been out of action since he suffered a calf injury on the opening day of the season, 39 minutes into a 4-1 victory over Norwich City.
Summer signing Adrian deputised, and despite missing their first-choice keeper the reds maintain their unbeaten run in the Premier League this season, ahead of their box office fixture at Manchester United this Sunday.
Joel Matip also looks set to make his return to the line-up as he re-joined full training at Melwood on Tuesday, after the centre-back missed meetings with Salzburg and Leicester following a knock suffered during the 1-0 win at Sheffield United on September 28.
The Cameroon international has become an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s Champions League winning side, providing vital cover to partner Virgil Van Dijk and keeping highly lauded England youngster Joe Gomez out of the side.
As Liverpool look to extend their unbeaten run and capitalise upon title rivals Manchester City dropping points to both Norwich and Wolves in recent weeks, fans on Twitter rejoice in the return of two of their first-team players.
