Liverpool Collegiate slumped to five league defeats in a row as they were beaten 31-7 by Widnes in the ADM Premier Division. Collegiate, hosting the game at Liverpool Cricket Club, gave their title-chasing opponents Widnes a competitive match all game but were blown away by a flurry of tries in each half.

Rugby Union is a game of point scoring. Five points for a try - potentially seven with the conversion - as three points via penalty kicks or drop-goals. It's a sport set up for a points fest. But not when Southport met Preston Grasshoppers!

Sale’s Manu Tuilagi has returned to the England starting 15 as Eddie Jones named his team to take on Wales on Saturday. Courtney Lawes comes back in to the team, taking over the captaincy from Tom Curry.
