England entertain Ireland with both hoping to keep their Six Nations title hopes alive this weekend. Meanwhile, Wales look to end France's Grand Slam hopes in Cardiff on Friday as the competition reaches the business end at the Principality and Twickenham.

It has been a difficult season for Sefton Ladies in the Women's Championship North 1 League. But at the 15th attempt brought their first win of the season.

Liverpool Collegiate slumped to five league defeats in a row as they were beaten 31-7 by Widnes in the ADM Premier Division. Collegiate, hosting the game at Liverpool Cricket Club, gave their title-chasing opponents Widnes a competitive match all game but were blown away by a flurry of tries in each half.

Rugby Union is a game of point scoring. Five points for a try - potentially seven with the conversion - as three points via penalty kicks or drop-goals. It's a sport set up for a points fest. But not when Southport met Preston Grasshoppers!

In 2016 Liverpool Tritons RUFC became the first inclusive rugby union team in Merseyside, creating a welcoming home for those in the LGBT community.  The current Chairperson of the club Mike Turner has been there from the start and has been a key figure in the running of the club ever since.

Round Two of the 2022 Six Nations has come to an end as England cantered to victory over Italy in Rome. There were a few noteworthy things happening around Europe in this latest round of games.

Jonny Sexton is out of the Six Nations clash against France, with Joey Carbery taking his place. Sexton suffered a hamstring strain in training on Wednesday, its severity is not yet known. 

The season review so far for Sefton RUFC is bright. A recent win over Congleton put Sefton three points behind second following back-to-back wins in the Lancashire County Rugby Union ADM Championship.
