Club Statement: Connor Jennings

The sad news is that Connor Jennings has been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer. In Stockport County’s statement, they have announced that there is treatment available and that they hope to see him on the pitch again soon.

Tranmere Rovers was just one of the many well-wishers. Jennings had previously scored the winning goal at Wembley to promote the club to League One in 2019.

Stockport County have also said in their statement “While we request privacy for him and his family at this time, messages of support can be emailed to media@stockportcounty.com and will be passed on to Connor”.

Everyone at MerseySportLive would like to pass on our best to Connor and his family.
