The general manager of Liverpool Trojans Baseball Club has called for a new league to be formed as he sets his sights on improving the club’s facilities.

Ian Blease has been in charge of the country’s oldest baseball club for six years, and announced they will put on youth clinics over the summer to introduce baseball to young British fans and help grow the club.

In 2021, the Trojans merged with Halton Baseball Club in Runcorn and now offer four adult teams, a softball team and a blind team.

Growing the sport locally the main goal for Blease.

He said: “The community is really growing in this area and we’re really keen to be right in the heart of it.”
