Liverpool FA have teamed up with FireFit Community Hub in Toxteth to host the Weetabix Wildcats festival on April 4.
The event is aimed at helping girls aged 6-11 get involved with football.
In a statement on their website, Liverpool FA outlined their goals for the event.
They said: “We aim to provide girls with maximum opportunities to feel confident, supported and empowered to be ready to either continue playing in non-competitive football at grassroots level, or just want to keep developing within a positive, safe and fun environment.”
A Youth Council member involved in the FA Leadership Academy has brought the event back to Liverpool.
The camp aligns with the Liverpool FA’s partnership with GOALs as the organisation’s aim to increase female participation in football.
FA-qualified coaches deliver the sessions, all trained in health and safety and safeguarding.
The Weetabix Wildcats festival returns to Liverpool after the first camp at LCFA Sefton in February had more than 40 girls participate.
Liverpool Women FC legend Natasha Dowie attended and took part in a Q&A.
A special guest will be there for the second event with an announcement to follow.
This second Weetabix Wildcats festival will be free and is available for 70 young girls to participate.
The event will take place from 9.30am-2.30pm.
