The world’s top darts players will meet at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool this Thursday for the second round of the Premier League of Darts.

Peter Wright will begin the night at the top of the leaderboard following his win in the round one final in Cardiff over Jonny Clayton.

Snakebite won the final 6-1, earning the Scotsman five points after earlier beating St Helens star Michael Smith and Scotsman Gary Anderson.

Clayton earned three points with Anderson and James Wade receiving two points.

Wade was beaten 6-4 by Clayton in their semi final in Wales.

This season involves a fresh format in which eight players will play at 16 different venues in a tournament beginning with a quarter-final and culminating in a final to declare the winner each week.
