It was a night to a remember for Liverpool striker Mia Enderby who scored two goals in Liverpool’s 4-0 League Cup victory over Everton at The Totally Wicked Stadium.

The 19-year-old doubled the lead for the Reds in the 58th minute to secure the three points over their in-City rivals.

Unfortunately for Matt Beard’s side, they will not progress through to the quarter finals of the Cup as they fell three points behind Manchester United.

Liverpool dominated the early exchanges, with striker Ceri Holland wasting two good chances.

Their early pressure paid off in the 28th minute when Jenna Clark headed home from the whipped in corner.

The hosts continued to dominate and only the crossbar denied Leanne Kiernan’s effort from just inside the box.

Second half substitutes Jasmine Matthews and Olivia Smith made an immediate impact.

Goal scorer Kiernan was forced off with an ankle injury 15 minutes into the second half after a clash with Everton defender Emma Bissell.

It was not long before Kiernan’s replacement, Mia Enderby doubled the lead for the Reds after a mistake by Issy Hobson.

Enderby showed composure as she sprinted to steal the ball inside the box, and slotted home past Ramsey.

Everton soaked up more pressure, the centre back partnership of Issy Hobson and Emma Bissell were kept on their toes but Cornelia Kapocs was not to be denied in the 83rd minute.

With a little over 10 minutes to go, Neve McDonald and goalkeeper Eva Spencer were called off the bench to make their senior debuts for Liverpool.

Enderby finished off her night in style with another goal in the 90th minute.

Liverpool will now return to the WSL to host Arsenal in four days before taking a break over Christmas.

The Reds are coming back from two league losses, including a heavy 4-0 defeat against Manchester United and a 1-0 loss in the Merseyside Derby.
