Non-league clubs in the Northwest are feeling pressure to invest in artificial pitches following match postponements from the big freeze.
Prescott Cables have had three matches postponed in January and Bamber Bridge have seen two called off.
However, Marine AFC have only had one match postponed due to ice on the side of the pitch.
Marine installed an artificial 3g pitch back in 2021 following their FA Cup tie with Tottenham Hotspur and other clubs may be forced to do the same.
This can prove extremely costly for clubs.
