Liverpool Women’s legend, Natasha Dowie, will become the first woman to feature as a part of the annual charity game as Liverpool legends take on Chelsea legends at Anfield.

She will feature alongside icons such as Steven Gerrard and Peter Crouch in efforts to raise money for the LFC Foundation.

During her time as part of the reds the English star won back-to-back league titles, netting 47 goals in her time at the club.

Speaking to Liverpool she said: It’s so exciting for us to include female players in this year’s legends game. We’re the first to do this at club level, we are pioneers, and it’s a big thing for young girls and boys to see this happening.

“The legends games are something I’ve watched for many years, so to now be involved in one is just going to be incredible. It really is going to be a great occasion, and I can’t wait. I’ve been counting down the days!”

The game takes place on Saturday 22nd of March, with tickets still on sale costing £29 for adults, £19 for concessions and £9 for juniors.

Tickets can be purchased through the LFC website with all proceeds going to the LFC Foundation.
