The football community on the Wirral has rallied to help raise funds for repairs and replacements after a suspected arson left Victoria Colts Juniors FC with an estimated £6,000 of damage. 

Southport will be hoping for a first win this season as they host Darlington tomorrow (Oct 26) in the club’s first home game in the league since September 4. The Yellows’ form this season due to home postponements, has never really got going.

A Skelmersdale United academy player has allegedly been racially abused during a youth team fixture. The incident comes two weeks after Skelmersdale’s Head of Academy Darren Wildman was charged by Liverpool County FA for removing players from the pitch after claiming one was allegedly subjected to homophobic abuse.

The draw for the First Round of the 150th Emirates FA Cup has been made with the chance of two Merseyside teams competing at this stage of the competition.

Marine manager Neil Young was full of praise for his side as they prepare for their FA Cup replay with National League Wrexham tomorrow (October 19). The winners will progress to the FA Cup 1st Round proper, with a trip to League Two Harrogate Town on the horizon.
