After another weekend of non-league football, here is your Merseyside round up.
National League North
Hereford 2-2 Southport
Southport suffered heartbreak when they conceded two injury time goals to throw away a 2-0 lead with just minutes left in the game.
The draw leaves Southport 12th in the league just five points off the play-off places.
Northern Premier League North West Division
Runcorn Linnets 2-1 Pickering Town
The Runcorn Linnets picked up another win in a 2-1 victory at home to Pickering Town. The Linnets fought back after going a goal down inside five minutes, goals from Liam Caddick and Ben Wharton kept Runcorn within touching distance of the play-offs.
Droylsden 0-7 Marine FC
Marine FC dominated Droylsden in a 7-0 victory. Neil Kengni struck twice inside 10 minutes to get his side off to a flying start. Lussey and Hassall both bagged later in the first half to go in 4-0 at the break. A second for Lussey and two for Mark Howarth finished off the dominant display.
The win leaves Marine in third just three points off the top, however they could drop a spot if Pontefract Collieries win their games in hand.
Trafford 0-2 Widnes
Goals from James Steele and Jamie Rainford gave Widnes a 2-0 win as they look to climb the table.
The win has them at 16th in the league and only one point off 15th with a game in hand and a superior goal difference.
North West Counties League Premier Division
Runcorn Town 2-2 Winsford United
Runcorn town extend their unbeaten run to seven games with a 2-2 draw.
The draw keeps Runcorn Town in seventh place they will look to close the gap to Longridge Town when they play Hanley Town next weekend.
Bootle FC 0-3 Rylands
A 3-0 defeat for Bootle sees their title challenged stunted as they lost out to third place Rylands. Rylands now go equal on points with Bootle but goal difference and with a game in hand Joe Doran’s side stay second, now seven points off the top.
North West Counties Football League Division One North
AFC Liverpool 3-0 Cheadle Town
AFC Liverpool dispatched Cheadle 3-0 with goals coming from Cockerline, Hardacre and Schorah.
The little Reds are now in fourth and could climb as high as second if they win their games in hand.
St. Helens Town 0-1 Nelson
The struggling St. Helens Town suffered yet another defeat, this time at the hands of Nelson.
Their sixth defeat in a row leaves them 19th in the table one point above Steeton and three points from safety.
