The city of Liverpool has a team that has given the tag “Invincibles” a whole new meaning.

Arsen Wenger’s 2003-04 team famously went the whole Premier League season without being beaten, but the Karate club at Liverpool John Moores University can top that, they have been unbeaten for eight years!

Ok, so it is in the varsity clash against arch rivals University of Liverpool, but it is still a proud record.

In their latest clash LJMU beat their arch rivals 15-9 on points. Captain Hannah Lucas said: “It feels great to be honest to be able to keep that streak going across this number of years.”
