Liverpool fans believe their recent form against Manchester United will be enough to se them through when the sides clash on Sunday.
Both sides are desperate for the points for different reasons, with Liverpool gunning for Arsenal’s top spot and United looking to stay in the top half of the table.
After a summer of big spending, Arne Slot’s side have struggled to gel, with £100m signings Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz both yet to open their Premier League accounts.

A poor run of form has seen The Reds drop from top spot and dealt a blow in their attempts to win back to back Premier League titles.
Liverpool fan Adam Donovan hasn’t been convinced by all the new signings so far, but remains confident of a result this weekend.
He said: “If there’s a time to play us [Liverpool], it’s definitely right now. Two [league] losses on the bounce and players like Wirtz yet to get a goal contribution.
“Isak doesn’t look himself yet and the same with players like [Milosz] Kerkez. It’s taking a while for the team to gel, we can all see that.
“But we love a game against United, we always beat them. Salah loves a game against United.
“We’ll beat these. They’re just not very good!”
Similarly, fellow Liverpool fan Ciaran Seddon believes his side can produce a comfortable win.
He said: “We’ll have too much for them, it’ll be 3-0.
“As bad as we’ve [Liverpool] been, they [Manchester United] will always be so much worse.”
Ruben Amorim’s tenure at the Red Devils has been poor so far, and with no Europe this season, a convincing league campaign is a must.
A win against high flying Sunderland last time out will potentially gave their fans some hope. But Anfield has not been a happy hunting ground for United over the past few years.
While the last two away results against Liverpool for the Mancunians have been unexpected draws, they have failed to win since 2016.
There would be no better time for Amorim to win back to back Premier League games for the first time in his 11-month tenure.
Manchester United fan Lucas Petgrave has strong words about the state of the club at the moment, and doesn’t think anything will change on their trip to Anfield.
He said: “Everything from top to bottom is rotten at the club right now. [Jim] Ratcliffe didn’t understand just how much of a mess he was walking into and he doesn’t have a clue how to turn it around.
“We’ll get thrashed this weekend. I hate to say it but everything about Liverpool is better than us right now, better squad, better manager by far.
“The only hope is we get thrashed so badly that Amorim finally gets the sack.”
Predicted line-ups
Liverpool remain without Alisson this weekend, with Giorgi Mamardashvili set to make his second Premier League start.
Due to a lack of defensive depth, it seems Ibrahima Konate will keep his place alongside Virgil Van Dijk despite a very shaky start to the season.
Ryan Gravenberch will retain his place in the heart of the midfield, as Wirtz and Isak will see this game as the perfect opportunity to ignite their Liverpool careers.
Mohammed Salah will hope to keep up his fine form in this fixture over the years.
After his first start and first clean sheet last time out, summer signing Senne Lammens looks likely to keep his place between the sticks for United.
There will be no change in Amorim’s desire to play his beloved back five, with Patrick Dorgu and Diogo Dalot looking to provide the width.
Bruno Fernandes will be hoping to re-find his form after two missed penalties already this season, playing behind the Red Devils’ new £200 million pound attack of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbuemo and Benjamin Sesko.
Liverpool are undoubtedly heavy favourites this week and anything less than three points will be met by disappointment in Merseyside.
Manchester United eventually want to be in a place where three points is a must every week, however any kind of result on Sunday would mark an improvement on a torrid year under Amorim.
