Liverpool will look to pick themselves up after the international break ahead of the Premier League return this weekend as they host Nottingham Forest at Anfield.
The Reds have had a nightmare start to their title defence, despite spending over £400 million in the summer transfer window, the most by one club in history.
However, Liverpool also made over £200 million in player sales over the summer, as the squad went under construction, but who has fared better, the incomings or outgoings?

One of the biggest stories over the summer was the departure of local lad Trent Alexander-Arnold, as he joined Real Madrid for a fee of £10m.
It was going to be a big task to whoever would fill the gap that Alexander-Arnold would leave, and Liverpool bought in Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong for £29.5 million.
It has been a tough start for both men this season, with the pair being hampered by injury early on, playing just a handful of games each and not many minutes.
Frimpong did make a great first impression, scoring on his debut in the Community Shield vs Crystal Palace, but Conor Bradley has been the main right back this season for the reds as Frimpong continues his return from injury.
Alexander-Arnold has yet to notch a goal or assist for Madrid in his five league games, as he continues to settle into life at Madrid and seems to currently be out of favour, with Federico Valverde lining up at right back in the three league games since Alexander-Arnold returned from injury.

Another big area of debate was Liverpool’s pursuit of Alexander Isak, who eventually signed for a British record fee of £125 million.
The Swede came into Liverpool off the back of 23 goals and six assists in 34 games for Newcastle last campaign.
Isak has yet to strike in the league for Liverpool in his 253 minutes, as he has won just one game in his four features for The Reds.
The other star signing for Liverpool in attack is Hugo Ekitike, who signed for £84 million from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Frenchman has fared better since his arrival, notching three goals and an assist in his first 10 games, and has been praised as Liverpool’s best piece of business this summer.
Two of Liverpool’s attackers from the title winning side left the club in the summer.
Luis Diaz joined Bayern Munich for £63 million and has enjoyed a fruitful start to his time in Munich, with six goals and four assists in his first 10 games.
The other attacker is Darwin Nunez, who joined Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal for £47 million.
The Uruguayan has also had a good start to life at his new club, with three goals and two assists in his first five games.

*Isak didn’t feature until Gameweek 5
Whilst it seems that Liverpool’s new signings haven’t reached their predicted outcomes yet, there is still time in this season for them to come through and pay back the prices Liverpool paid for them and aid them in recovering their title defence.
