Since All Elite Wrestling was formed in early 2019, there have been many stars from WWE jumping ship to the promotion.
Here are five more names we may expect to see follow suit.
Cesaro
‘The Swiss Superman’ Cesaro has recently been released by the WWE and is currently a free agent.
Many have suggested the star has been underutilized in recent years and consider him one of the best professional wrestlers in the world.
With insane feats of strength and world class technical ability, Cesaro is deserving of a good run and AEW is the perfect place for him.
The amount of possible dream matches is endless with AEW’s stacked roster and with more creative freedom, we can only be excited to see what the ‘Swiss Superman’ could achieve.
Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda)
Windham Rotunda (ring name Bray Wyatt) is one of the most creative stars in professional wrestling today.
AEW’s creative freedom would be a match made in heaven for Windham.
He has excelled in creating characters, having recently donned the ‘Fiend’ persona which all came from his mind.
Another good reason for his emergence in AEW would be the late Brodie Lee, a well known best friend of Windham.
Brodie was the leader of the fan favourite faction The Dark Order before his unfortunate death.
Who better to honour the legacy he left behind than his best friend?
Johnny Gargano
For years, Johnny Gargano was one of the faces of NXT.
Competing against AEW on Wednesday nights, Gargano embodied the ‘indie’ style of wrestling and put on five star matches regularly.
With this in mind, we feel he would be a perfect fit becoming ‘All Elite’.
Once again, the possibilities of dream matches for Gargano are rich and exciting.
Gargano has also recently became a free agent after his WWE contract expired in December.
Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn has the ability to play a top heel or babyface and is one of the most gifted wrestlers around today.
The harsh truth however is that his main roster run in WWE has been disappointing.
In NXT, Zayn was one of the biggest stars regularly competing for the main prizes, but this has failed to transfer to the main roster.
Becoming ‘All Elite’ would be a great opportunity for Zayn to once again become the top heel/babyface star he is destined to be.
Shinsuke Nakamura
Another of the world’s greatest professional wrestlers, Shinsuke Nakamura has done it all.
Nakamura has always been a top star wherever he has been, but like Zayn, has had a disappointing main roster run.
Despite winning the 2018 Royal Rumble and competing for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 34, his ‘push’ never amounted to much.
Many would’ve expected him to hold the world championship at least once by this point, but this is something still yet to come.
Making the switch to AEW would be a great opportunity for Nakamura to become a main star once again, where he deserves to be.
