Ellie Threlkeld was the leading run scorer of the Rachael Flint Trophy in 2023 as she hit her maiden list A century of 107*.
The St Helens Cricket ace made her county debut for Lancashire at just 14 in 2013 against Warwickshire.
Lancashire’s captain told MerseySportlive how touring Australia and South Africa with the England Women’s main squad has left her wanting to receive her debut cap for England.
“Yeah, a couple of good experiences to be around that group and the Australia tour was alongside the main squad as well that as a real good experience it almost felt in touching distance which as great and yeah, I learned a lot played some really good cricket.
“Hopefully, I can be sort in and around that again and knocking on that door if I put the performances in this summer so two really good experiences and yeah hopefully I can be back there at some point”.
Ellie Threlkeld keen to make more impact in the T20s
Threlkeld is an established 50 over cricketer as she was also Northwest Thunders leading run scorer in the 2022 Rachael Flint Trophy scoring 266 runs at an average of 53.20.
Moreover, Wicket Keeper Threlkeld told Merseysportlive she now aims to convert her positive performances into T20 Cricket.
“There are always little technical changes I’m making and this winter I focused on trying to start my innings a little quicker and trying to make more of an impact in the T20 format and batting a little higher up the order there and contributing in both formats”.

Furthermore, Threlkeld has showcased her talents as a very talented wicket keeper as she took six dismissals in the 2023 The Hundred for the Manchester Originals.
In addition, Ellie also had the joint most dismissals in the 2021 edition of the Rachael Flint Trophy with seven.
The Knowsley-born Cricketer is only 25 and has a very bright future in international and domestic cricket ahead of her.
