Knowsley-based football team FC Kirkby are aiming to raise £1000 as efforts to save a baby hospice ramp-up across the city.

The club has organised a charity came for this Sunday and well-known content creators, MMA fighters, actors and familiar faces from Liverpool are backing efforts to benefit Zoe’s Place.

Earlier this month Zoe’s place were told they would have to close their doors if they don’t raise over £6m by next month.

And match organiser, Liam Bibby of Intempura Sports, has made his own efforts to help the organisation reach their 9th November deadline.

He said: “The charity match for Zoe’s place come around through my connections with my local team FC Kirkby and the fact I already know a few content creators from around the city.

“Our aim is to raise £1000 minimum for Zoe’s place, and we are already 90% the way there.”

Tickets cost £5 each with all proceeds going towards Zoe’s place.

The city of Liverpool has been coming together all month to raise as much money as possible for the baby hospice.

There are two teams, yellow vs blue, to go with the colour scheme of Zoe’s Place.

The captain of team yellow is Liverpool MMA star Shem Rock and joining him is two of the city’s best comedians, Gary Hyland and Danny Davies.

The face of ITV’s G’wed, Dylan Thomas Smith will also line-up.

In the blue team is Liverpool streamer and Call of Duty Pro, Jukeyz and joining him are actor Lee Morris and ex-football player Dale Jennings.

“The event should be action packed with the two teams & players we have selected,” said Bibby.

The game kicks-off at the Berry Street Garage Stadium at 1pm.
