Liverpool and Brighton fans are set to join forces at Anfield to campaign for fairer ticket prices.

Liverpool FC Supporters Union, Spirit of Shankly, will hold the “Stop Exploiting Loyalty” banner as Liverpool host Brighton in tomorrow’s Premier League fixture.

The union has previously teamed up with West Ham fans at Anfield as well as Arsenal fans at The Emirates and Everton fans at Goodison Park to demontrate against increasing ticket prices.

Spirit of Shankly member, Gareth Roberts said: “We want to send a clear message to all Premier League clubs and the administrators of the league itself that enough is enough and routine price rises need to stop.

“Our game is already far more expensive than it once was and preying on the loyalty of dedicated supporters needs to stop.

“It should not be a race to the richest in terms of who fills our stadiums.”

This season, 19 of the 20 Premier League clubs increased their ticket prices with Crystal Palace the only exception.

Roberts said: “Apathy is the friend of the capitalist who wants to keep milking us. Solidarity can make a difference and we have proved this before.”

The Football Supporters Association launched its “Stop Exploiting Loyalty” campaign on October 24th 2024 and since then fans from a wide range of clubs have come together for fairer prices.

Saturday’s protest will start at 1:30pm where fans will meet near the Foodbank on Walton Breck Road.
