Michael Van Gerwen crashes out of Grand Slam of Darts

Michael Van Gerwen has crashed out of the Grand Slam of Darts after losing 10-7 to Australian number one Damon Heta. Heta’s win ensures a new name will be engraved onto the Eric Bristow Grand Slam of Darts trophy.

Former world number one Gerwyn Price was knocked out of the Grand Slam of Darts after a 10-6 loss to Gary Anderson. Anderson, a two-time World Championship winner, was in superb form averaging 104.96 hitting an 11-darter in the second last leg of the game.

Darts ace Michael Smith scrapes win after “rubbish” performance

St Helens darts ace Michael Smith scraped past Krzysztof Ratajski with a 5-4 win at The Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton but described his performance as “rubbish”. "Bully Boy" Smith scored a 106 finish in the final leg to secure the win and remain top of group A but is still not into the knockout stages.
