As adverse weather conditions continue to wreak havoc across Britain and Ireland, there are only two meetings today with Wetherby being latest casualty to add to the unfortunate list of horse racing’s postponements.

All of today’s action is on the all-weather with Southwell and Kempton still taking place.

Mersey Sport Live are currently operating at a 25.19% strike rate, and are £27.46 up from £1 level stakes.

I’ll be hoping to bolster these figures further with the following tips today, on my first run out!

NAP: Adjutant | Southwell | 1:45 | 7/4

This five-year-old will be looking to get off the mark after a lengthy absence off the track. Formerly a hurdler, dual-purpose trainer Olly Murphy will be hoping he can transfer his excellent from the jumping sphere onto the all-weather of Kempton this afternoon.

Murphy has a 36% strike rate over the last fortnight, and with Luke Morris booked, Adjutant looks to have a live chance of adding a 1 next to them form figures.

NB: Chloellie | Kempton | 6:00 | 3/1

This Kempton specialist returns to the course she loves so much this evening. Chloellie has won five of her last 12 at Kempton, and four out of six rides with David Probert aboard.

With that man in the saddle again this evening over her optimal trip and clearly most desired track, John Jenkins’ mare should take all the beating.

E/W: Lyricist Voice | Kempton | 6:30 | 13/2

Lyricist Voice made all last time out at Newcastle over this trip, and lands himself a 5lb penalty for his efforts. Although at a general 13/2 shot, should be right there in the mix with Stefano Cherchi in the saddle claiming 7lb, helping to negate the penalty incurred on Tyneside.

Marco Botti’s runner tops the RPR’s for this Class 5 handicap, and I can’t see him finishing outside the top two, to pick up some safe each-way returns.
