Liverpool’s Neal Skupski and Jamie Murray lost in straight sets against Édouard Roger-Vasselin and Jurgen Melzer.

They lost 6-1 7-6 (7-2) in one of the most coveted ATP 500 events in tennis, the ATP 500 Dubai, also known as the Dubai Duty Free Championships.

The all-British pair had won their last match in Rotterdam and were looking to do the same here in Dubai, and get back to their winning ways, after also losing their opening match last week in Marseille.

The Merseyside player and Murray began playing together last summer and had a good second half of 2019, but have not enjoyed the best start to 2020.

Skupski and Murray will continue to prepare for the first Masters 1000 of the season in Indian Wells, which begins on March 9th.
