Frank Lampard’s Everton have been plunged into a relegation battle following their resounding defeat at Newcastle on Tuesday.

The toffees host Leeds this weekend, with both sides desperate for three points.

Everton come off the back of four straight defeats, and haven’t won in the Premier League since December 6th.

The blues have only managed one win in the League since September.

There is a huge amount of pressure on Lampard’s shoulders, after losing such an important game midweek.

The Blues sit 16th in the league, and a win could see them leapfrog Leeds into 15th on goal difference.

Everton were dealt a huge blow in their defeat at St James’ Park with Yerry Mina forced off with injury.

So far this season, the toffees have not won a game in which Yerry Mina has been absent.

As for Leeds, they came from 3-1 down to earn a crucial point at Villa Park last night.

If they are to have success at Goodison Park, they will rely on wingers Dan James and Raphinha.

The Brazilian wide man has scored in all of his appearances against Everton.

Frank Lampard insists that “confidence must not drop, because there is a lot of work to do”.

If results don’t go their way, Everton could be in the relegation zone this weekend.

Saturday’s game is a great opportunity for Everton new boys Dele Alli and Donny van de Beek to make an impact.
