After a battling goal less draw away to Fulham, last time out, Everton entertain struggling yet improving Leicester City at Goodison Park.

The Toffees haven’t lost to Leicester in the Premier League since December 2019, and will be looking to continue their good form against the Foxes. Here are the details on the last five meetings.

Leicester City 1-2 Everton – 8th May 2022

Everton secured the three points with a narrow win over Brendan Rodgers’ side. Vitaly Mykolenko put the Toffees ahead before Patson Daka levelled minutes later for the hosts. The third goal in an exciting first half was scored by Mason Holgate, and Frank Lampard’s side managed to hold on for another big win in their push for Premier League survival. This was Everton’s first away win in the Premier League since their visit to Brighton and Hove Albion on 28 August 2021.

Everton 1-1 Leicester City – 20th April 2022

Richarlison, now at Tottenham, scored a last minute equaliser for Everton, who gained an important point as they were sitting just outside the relegation zone in 17th position. Harvey Barnes put the Foxes in front early on. This was Everton’s first draw in the Premier League since their visit to Chelsea on 16 December 2021.

Everton 1-1 Leicester City – 27th January 2021

In a game played behind closed doors due to COVID, an Everton side then managed by Carlo Ancelotti played out another draw with Brendan Rodgers’ team. Former Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez put the Toffees in front at Goodison Park, before Youri Tielemans equalised for the Foxes. This was the 600th goal Everton conceded at home in the Premier League.

Leicester City 0-2 Everton – 16th December 2020

Goals from Mason Holgate and Richarlison secured an impressive away victory for Everton at the King Power Stadium. The Brazilian forward scored five goals in 12 appearances in this fixture for Everton. Leicester had been awarded a penalty late on, but the decision was reversed by VAR. This was a much needed three points away from home, it was all looking so promising for Everton under Ancelotti.

Everton 2-1 Leicester City – 1st July 2020

Richarlison was on the scoresheet again helping the Toffees to gain three points at Goodison Park. This was one of the only three games in the top division to be played in the month of July, due to the pause in the season as a result of the pandemic.
