Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard could be set for a sensational return to management with French giants, Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG are losing patience with current manager, Christophe Galtier, following mixed form this season.

A 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League has put Galtier under pressure.

PSG have strong ambitions to win their first ever Champions League trophy and are at risk of falling short again this campaign.

Multiple sources have touted Gerrard as a potential replacement for Galtier, which has come as a shock to many fans.

The Scottish Express report: “The former Rangers boss and Liverpool legend has been discussed by the PSG hierarchy who are becoming increasingly frustrated with Christophe Galtier.

“The Qatar ownership are interested in Gerrard whom they see as a major high-profile figure who could enhance them next season.”

Despite a legendary football career, Gerrard has been out of work since October 2022 after being sacked from Aston Villa.

Gerrard spent 11 months at Aston Villa and won 13 games out of 40 in charge of the club.

His time with Rangers was more notable, leading the Glasgow side to their first league title in 10 years.

They ended the 2019-20 season unbeaten with a club record 102 points.

Time will tell whether PSG can turn their form around under Galtier.

Failure to beat Bayern Munich in the second leg could mean the club start official contact with Gerrard in search for a new manager.
