Cornish Pirates made light work of Caldy RFC in the Championship Cup as the sides met for the first time.

Pirates Full back Will Trewin said it was “a good win on the road” on the Wirral as his side moved top of Pool C.

The scoring was opened in the 19th minute as a misplaced pass was punished by Arthur Relton.

In acres of space, Relton finished the move himself to put Pirates ahead. Harry Bazalgette converted to make it 0-7.
