Liverpool actor and comedian John May is walking from Lands End to John o’ Groats in support of city based boxing foundation Weapons Down, Gloves Up.
Recent figures show knife crime has risen by 27% in Merseyside and May is using his platform to encourage young people to choose boxing instead.
Nearly 300 miles and three weeks into his walk, John is hoping to raise up to £50,000 to support the foundation. With 11 weeks to go and over £5000 raised already, he still has plenty of time to reach his goal.
