In a published report, UEFA have announced the refund of tickets for fans who attended the Champions League final last May.

The organisation carried out an inquiry into the events that took place outside the Stade De France, after thousands of Liverpool and Real Madrid fans were subject to brutal policing, tear gas and crushing, delaying kick-off by thirty minutes.

In response to the scheme outlined this week, many Liverpool supporters have expressed disappointment at the decision and have called for further action to be taken.

Mersey Sport Live spoke to The Anfield Wrap founder and host of the Late Challenge podcast, Gareth Roberts, who insists that reimbursing the cost of a ticket can’t heal the phycological distress which fans have suffered.

Other supporters who witnessed the chaos in Paris have stood in solidarity against UEFA and have stated this should just be the beginning of justice for the fans who attended the match.
