Pharmacist turned professional boxer Rhiannon Dixon is preparing to step through the ropes for her first ever title shot, versus former amateur lightweight champion, Vicky Wilkinson this weekend.

The Liverpool M&S Bank Arena hosts the next instalment of Matchroom Boxing on Saturday night, as the undefeated Dixon challenges for the Commonwealth Lightweight title.

The battle is one of eight undercard matches headlined by Diego Pacheco and Jack Cullen who will contest the WBO International Super-Middleweight title.

Dixon, born and raised in Warrington, is more than excited to seize the opportunity of her career so far. Her coach and former WBA lightweight champion Anthony Crolla believes his fighter is ready, and that there is a very bright future for women in boxing.
