As Liverpool’s half marathon and 10 mile runs approach, with both events scheduled to take place on Saint Patrick’s day next month, one Liverpool John Moore’s student has sworn to put the Irish “dark stuff” to one side as he raises money for Everton in the Communities’ ‘Kick Cancer’ scheme.

Nathaniel Scott has been working closely with Everton in the Community helping out with the the ‘Kick Cancer’ scheme – which aims to keep those dealing with, or recovering from, cancer active and social during treatment.

The 21 year old said: “It’s been inspiring to hear these people’s story, and has opened my eyes to the struggles they face. I’ve decided to do this run, partly to test myself, but mostly to raise money and awareness for such a great scheme.”

Nathaniel has already raised over £1000 for the charity, with donations steadily rolling in via his justgiving page, which you can visit here.
