Bootle manager Mick McGraa has called for more consistency as his side prepare to face Witton Albion at the Berry Street garage Stadium tomorrow.

Ninth-placed Bootle take on their opponents, in 19th, are hoping to continue their winning ways in December after a 2-4 away win at Hednesford Town where Kenzie O’Neill found two goals late in the game.

The last five meetings between the sides have seen Bootle win two, with the other three ending with draws. The most recent meeting came on  21st September where Bootle won 1-2 at the U Lock It Stadium.

After their last outing, McGraa said: “It was a top performance but it is only three points and we have to back it up with some consistency now.

“It is really important that we go on and earn ourselves three points on Saturday.”

The Blues are likely favourites heading into the fixture.

McGraa was delighted with O’Niells performance against Hednesford.

He said: “It is probably one of the best games I’ve seen him play.

“We are craving consistency and that is down to myself and the management team as well. We have got to do are due diligence a bit more.

“If we can get some consistency going then we will be fine because if you look at the teams who are up there it’s because they are winning games and that’s what we need to do.”

Bootle are in a positive run of form as they have won three in their last five, including a big 1-2 win in their Merseyside derby away at City of Liverpool.

Bootle’s home form has seen them win four and lose five of their nine home games this season and they will look to level that up in tomorrow’s Northern Premier League fixture.

Witton are winless in their last six games and have been goalless in their last three losing 1-0 at home to Trafford, 4-0 away at Avro and 3-0 away at Stalybridge Celtic.

Witton Albion’s away form has not been great as have only managed two wins in their nine away games this season.
