After Owen producing the goods with a winner and 8/1 second yesterday, my return is one with a high burden of expectation.

With the horrific storms starting to calm down, the race calendar looks to be getting back to normality. Here’s whats in store for you race fans today…

Racing commences in Fakenham where the only jump meeting of the day is getting underway at 1:40. This is shortly followed by an all-weather meeting at Lingfield at 2:00. At 5:00 we move to Ireland with racing from Dundalk. Racing is concluded in Southwell with a 5:10 start.

This is your last chance to make some extra money for that special someone this valentine’s day with my tips.

NAP: Phuket power- 3:10 Lingfield.

My NAP was a real toss up between this horse and Scarpia running at Fakenham. I’ve gone with this Tom Dascombe hopeful because I’ve been really impressed with its outings this season. It is very much an all-weather specialist with 2 places and a win in its last 4 outings. As a strong front runner the start is crucial and with the outside stall the horse should get a clear running to gain pole position from the start.

NB: Rizzardo- 3:20 Fakenham.

With an impressive win last week at Huntingdon this horse comes into the race as a real player. Also coming into the race off two respected 2nd place finishes, and 2lb well in under his penalty, at 5/1 it has every chance today.

Each way: Famous Dynasty- 4:40 Lingfield.

With two outings this year including a win and a place this horse is still well handicapped. Seemed to look comfortable racing at 1m4 so distance shouldn’t be an issue. With in form jockey Nicola Currie on board I think 9/1 is a steal for this horse.
