As the world of Darts prepares for the 2026 Premier League season, many eyebrows have been raised by the selection of St Helens born Stephen Bunting.
‘The Bullet’ had a shock exit in the 2026 World Championships as he lost in the third round to then World No 63 James Hurrell 4-3 in sets in a dramatic game, failing to go one better than he did in 2025, where he made it all the way to the semi final.
After a poor end to 2025, many have questioned whether Bunting should compete with the likes of Luke Littler and Luke Humphries in the Premier League this year, after he finished 8th out of eight in the 2025 season.
