Liverpool Feds say winter postponements are creating added financial challenges for the self-funded women’s football club after their recent home game against Sporting Khalsa was called off.

The club state early decisions during the winter period are often made to avoid travel costs for opposition teams, but can still leave them out of pocket.

Despite the cancellations, Feds say costs remain, including food expenses that must still be paid for and reduced gate income from rearranged midweek fixtures.

Players align with the club saying the financial strain goes beyond individual matchdays, with self-funded clubs constantly balancing rising costs while trying to compete in the league.
