Everton have completed the signing of forward Tyrique George on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season.

The deal includes an option to make the transfer permanent in the summer.

The winger is yet to start in the Premier League this season, making 11 appearances in all competitions.

George, 19, has made 37 senior appearances for Chelsea in his career, and has represented England at youth level up to the Under 21s.

It is there that he is already a teammate of Everton winger Tyler Dibling.

George will also already be familiar with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who likewise joined the Toffees from Chelsea last summer.

The pair were a regular feature for Chelsea in their Europa Conference League campaign last season, where they lifted the trophy.

The signing bolsters Everton’s options out wide after David Moyes confirmed that Jack Grealish was likely to miss the rest of the season through injury.

Grealish’s injury left Iliman Ndiaye, Dwight McNeil and Dibling as the only senior wingers in the Everton squad before George’s arrival.

On Signing George, Moyes said: “Tyrique is a versatile forward who can play all across the front line. I hope he will settle quickly into our squad, and the support from our fans will definitely help him feel at home.”

George said: “I’m really excited to be here and to enjoy this massive club. I just can’t wait to get started.

“The fans here are exceptional. I know Evertonians are really passionate. They like hard work – and that’s what I’m going to show. I want to be exciting and I want to impress them.

“I want to come here and help the team win as many games as possible and keep climbing up the table.”

Everton’s new number 19 will be eligible to make his debut when Everton travel to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham on Saturday (February 7th).
