Liverpool boxer Nick Ball is aiming to defend his WBA title for a fourth time at the M&S Bank Arena on Saturday in a card packed with North West fighters.

The card consists of 11 fights and includes nine fighters hailing from Merseyside, one from Warrington and two from Lancashire.

The event will be broadcast live on DAZN, giving the local fighters a great opportunity to showcase their talent to the world.

The WBA world featherweight champion, Ball will take on the American mandatory challenger Brandon Figueroa.

The 28 year-old claimed the title from Raymond Ford in June 2024 in Riyadh, and has since beaten Ronny Rios, TJ Doheny and Sam Goodman to retain his unbeaten record (23-0-1).

Figueroa holds a record of 26-2-1 and is a former two weight world champion, winning the WBA super-bantamweight title in 2020, and the WBC championship in 2021.

Queensberry boxing promoter, Frank Warren, described the bout as a “blockbuster beginning to 2026.”

Other undefeated scousers taking to the ring on Saturday include Jack Turner (13-0-0), Lucas Biswana (4-0-0), Luke Prior (1-0-0) and Paddy Lacey (12-0-0).

Former professional footballer, Lacey, will be aiming to turn the recent success of his younger brothers, Luis and Shea, in football into his own in the ring on Saturday.
