Molly McCann is set for a Liverpool homecoming on April 18th at the M&S Bank Arena.
McCann will feature on the undercard of fellow Liverpudlian Callum Smith, who faces David Morell for the WBO Interim World Light Heavyweight contest.
“Meatball” Molly continued her smooth transition into professional boxing with a 60-55 unanimous points victory over Hungary’s Beata Dudek to extend her record to 3-0.
In McCann’s fourth professional fight she will be facing Swansea’s Ashleigh Johnson.
Johnson holds a record of three wins and three defeats and is trained by former WBO cruiserweight champion Enzo Maccarinelli.
This is tipped to be McCann’s toughest boxing test yet, with Johnson bringing a strong fighting background in Kickboxing, Muay Thai and K-1.
Promoter Eddie Hearn said: “A good, tricky opponent, another step up in Liverpool.
“It will be a packed-out M&S Arena, and Molly will sell a lot of tickets.”
It will be McCann’s first fight in her home city since her UFC debut in 2017, where she submitted Gillian Robertson.
Callum Smith will be headlining the event against Cuban fighter David Morrell for the WBO Interim Light Heavyweight title.
The winner will earn a potential shot at unified champion Dmitry Bivol, who is aiming to return to the ring following back surgery.
