Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson sympathises with supporters who have been left frustrated following disappointing results in recent weeks.
The Reds host Galatasaray in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, after suffering a 1-0 defeat away at Rams Park.
Pressure is now mounting on the squad ahead of the fixture after their poor domestic form continued in Sunday’s 1-1 draw against a struggling Spurs side.
Robertson said: “The thing that was most disappointing was that our fans left unhappy.
“Our aim is to always send our fans home happy because when you go bounding out of Anfield, we know we’ve done our job.
“On Sunday, they weren’t happy and neither were we. I can completely understand that.
“They will be right behind us tomorrow night, but we have to give them something to get behind.”
Consistency
Liverpool’s number 26 stressed the importance of consistency for the remainder of the campaign.
The reigning Premier League Champions have failed to capitalise on opportunities to get into the top four, conceding ten goals after 90′ minutes this season.
Robertson said: “It’s hard to put your finger on why we’ve not been able to get the consistency from last season.
“It’s been a huge frustration for all of us.
“But we can’t give up trying. We need to keep trying to fight through it and try to find that consistency because that’s the only way we can try and turn this season around.”

Transfer Speculation
The Scottish International, who has been at the club since 2017, has had to battle with Milos Kerkez for a spot in Liverpool’s starting XI.
Robertson played 45 games for Liverpool in all competitions last season, but this campaign, he has only started six Premier League matches.
During the January transfer window, rumours circulated that the 32-year-old was close to leaving the club.
On his future at Liverpool, Robertson said: “I don’t think today’s the day to discuss that, 24 hours before a massive Champions League game, I don’t think anyone should really be talking about their future.
“We’ve got such a massive game ahead of us. I know it’s a boring answer and I can only apologise for that but my full focus is trying to get through tomorrow night.
“There will be time to talk about my future but today is not that day.”
Champions League Hopes
Galatasaray have already beaten Liverpool twice this season, but Robertson insists the squad have enough quality to progress into the next round.
“It’s a massive game because it’s the next game.
“We believe that we can get through the tie and we believe we can get into the Quarter-Finals of the Champions League.
“Then you are a step closer to achieving your dream; so that’s why it’s massive and we’re looking forward to it.
“It’s up to all of us to produce a good performance and if we can do that, then hopefully we can send our fans home a lot happier than we did on Sunday.
