Liverpool have suffered two vital injuries ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United.
Ibrahima Konate and Trent Alexander-Arnold were forced off with injury during their Champion’s League defeat against Paris Saint-Germain.

Speaking on the matter, Slot said “It didn’t look good so I would be surprised if he [Trent] is available on Sunday. For me Ibou was tired [rather] than an injury but Trent had to come off.”
Trent is another defender added to the injury list with fellow right back Conor Bradley also out with a muscle injury as well as Joe Gomez out with a hamstring injury.
With the three defensive injuries it is likely that Jarell Quansah will start at right back against Newcastle this Sunday. The young Englishman came on to replace his injured compatriot in the 74th minute.
If Konate doesn’t feature, Slot may be forced to start Wataru Endo at centre-back with Quansah filling in at fullback and Joe Gomez out through injury.
"Really sad moment for Lewis {Hall}, he's a really strong character and he'll come back from it" 🗣️

Eddie Howe’s side were given a boost ahead of this Sunday’s clash when the manager confirmed that there are “no issues” with Isak’s fitness.
Even though Newcastle will be without Sven Botman and Lewis Hall through injury, Eddie Howe confirmed that both Nick Pope and Sandro Tonali “look okay” despite the pair going down seemingly injured against West Ham on Monday night.
Liverpool-born Anthony Gordon will miss the final through suspension after receiving a red card against Brighton, which the Toon decided not to appeal.
