Girls on the Go are looking to reclaim the streets this winter in the battle against harassment towards women exercising in public.
The group, based in Liverpool, provides a safe space for those who identify as women to express themselves through events such as Yoga and Pilates classes, craft activities and speed friending sessions.
The group has also formed a women’s only running club to provide protection now the days are getting darker.
The move follows a BBC report stating that two thirds of women have experienced some form of harassment when running in public.
The issue even led to Surrey Police posing as joggers to catch out men harassing female runners, with 18 arrests being made.
